Connect More with Nature

Did you know there are therapists who specialize in nature-related practices and stress related to the condition of our global environment? Where I live in Northern California, there are multiple providers who are certified in "forest therapy", where they will actually take clients into the woods for sessions. Other providers offer nature therapy where sessions occur outdoors. Some clinicians specialize in issues of eco-grief and climate anxiety, which are feelings of existential dread and despair due to the deterioration of our ecological health.

These specializations are building upon long time practices by indigenous communities who have always understood the wellness that comes from both being in and tending to nature. What can you do more you to discover, consider, and analyze our current relationship with the natural world?

Check out my book shelf for reading recommendations that will help enhance your connection with nature.
