AAPI Caregiver Support Group

A virtual support group that discusses the specific challenges of being an Asian American Pacific Islander caregiver. Support for caregivers of aging parents, spouses, children with medical conditions, and other loved ones.

I have spent 8+ years supporting caregivers especially those of aging loved ones. I also have witnessed my own grandparents through their end-of-life care needs. Being a caregiver is a unique experience that can often be isolating and lead to feeling misunderstood. Find a group of others who really understand where you are coming from and can relate to what you are going through. Learn practical skills and tools that you can apply to your life.

Topics: personal experiences as caregivers, worries about loved one’s health/abilities, barriers to accessing services, planning for long-term caregiving, self-care and preventing burnout, and anticipatory grief.
